Atlantic meditations
Atlantic meditations is a series of daily watercolor paintings on vellum. Each painting was completed after an early morning sitting or walking meditation along the Atlantic coastline. A small sample of water was taken each day and used as the medium for the painting, adding a subtle texture to the paintings and a connection to place within the work. These paintings, created during the winter months, represent the appearance of light and fog each morning. They are painted as a journal entry in a continuous roll of 21 yards.
